The Society Cross

The Society logo was developed in the early years of the society. Initially there were several suggestions for a logo.

The design that emerged was a cross circled by a ring of double-stranded DNA which intertwines with the cross itself. The society cross echos the celtic cross. It shows the ring of DNA representing life and creation which has the cross of Christ at its centre. Members often wear pectoral cross or a lapel pin.

The society cross is reproduced on the society silver, which is used during gatherings at the Eucharist when new members are admitted and associates are welcomed.

There are also a number stoles worn by wardens and the society visitor which feature the society cross.

In 2025 a new, free standing, altar cross was made and blessed to be a focal point of service and prayers during gatherings.
